About Us

Parakaleo is a Greek word meaning "called to one's side.” Since this word is often translated into English as “encourage," Parakaleo International comes alongside brothers and sisters in Christ to help and encourage them with the ultimate goal of reaching the world with the glorious news that Jesus Christ saves.

Our Mission

Parakaleo International realizes that national pastors and church leaders will understand the needs of their culture best, so we strive to support them as they reach their culture with the gospel of Jesus. Our goal is to come alongside our brothers and sisters to help and encourage them with the ultimate goal of fulfilling the great commission as commanded in Matthew 28 and reaching the world with the glorious news that Jesus Christ saves.

Our History

Our president, Kevin Falde, grew up in Cayes Jacmel, Haiti, with missionary parents Keith and Kathy Falde.  He had a vision that the church he pastored for 12 years in Clover, SC— Carolina Baptist Church—could have a unique missions program not traditionally implemented in churches today. This vision was to support national pastors and churches in order to help them directly reach their communities. Kevin created many personal relationships with Christians in Haiti, and, after several years of implementing missions in this way, we have found this idea to be effective and efficient. A church of less than 100 members has been able to directly impact several different church plants and several Christian schools, as well as create a medical missions program. The money that churches and individuals have given to missions is going directly to evangelism and church planting.  Parakaleo International was formed after this framework as a way to allow other individuals and churches the opportunity to be a part of an effective missions program.

Our Beliefs

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God sent to die on the cross for the redemption of all mankind’s sin.

  • Jesus Christ is both full deity and full humanity.

  • We believe in salvation by faith alone in the work of Christ on the cross.

  • We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God.

  • We believe that we are called to go to all the world with the gospel, as written in Matthew 28:19-20.

  • We believe that we have been given much and that much is required of us, as written in Luke 12:48.
